Description
Wolf's House is a rustic cabin, ideal for a dream vacation surrounded by nature. Your relaxing oasis will be the spa area: hot water pool, sauna with panoramic windows.
The cabin is spacious, being able to accommodate 6 guests.
The interior combines the rustic style with the modern one. The facilities we offer are: private parking, garden with relaxation and play spaces, barbeque area, covered terrace, living room, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, free wi-fi internet.
Location and surroundings
We are waiting for you in a quiet part of the Mărginimea Sibiului ethnographic area, in the village Gura Râului. The area is ideal for hiking, being surrounded by forests and alpine pastures.
Travelers coming by plane should know that the nearest airport, Sibiu International Airport, is a 20-minute drive away. If looking out of the plane window, you will surely notice the plowed hills, the forest and the lakes surrounding the village.
This is where our beautiful holiday home is located. In the vicinity of the cabin, you will find a grocery store, a clothing store and a pharmacy.
The Space
Wolf's House is a mountain cabin, perfect for nature and adventure enthusiasts who also enjoy peaceful moments. The cabin is ideal for couples, families and groups of friends. 6 tourists can be accommodated.
Once you get inside the cabin, you will feel an intimate ambience, in a rustic setting with modern touches. On the ground floor you will find: a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a covered terrace, and in the attic there is a bathroom and three bedrooms.
The cabin offers fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, private parking, free wi-fi internet, TVs.
The ground floor of Wolf's House
The living room has a fireplace, comfortable sofas, a natural fur carpet, lamps that create a romantic ambience and an LCD TV. If you get hungry or in the mood for cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped. There is an electric hob, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, a dishwasher and a dining area.
The bathroom on the ground floor has a toilet and a shower, towels, soap, toilet paper. On the covered terrace there is a spacious wooden table, suitable for chatting and dining in nature while listening to the whisper of the river which flows only a few meters away.
In the garden we offer you a rustic brick barbeque, a hot tub with wood fired heater, and a sauna with panoramic views.
The attic of Wolf's House
The attic is the place for peaceful moments and relaxation. It has three bedrooms and a bathroom. Upon request, 1-2 extra beds for children can be added in the rooms. Each bedroom is decorated with wooden logs to which romantic lamps are attached, while windows face the surrounding hills.
The rooms have comfortable double beds, covered with fine fabrics for a restful sleep. The bathroom reveals the modern style of the cabin, especially in what concerns the facilities: toilet, sink, toiletries and, the relaxation element, the hydromassage bathtub.
If you are too tired to go downstairs to the living room, in the hallway of the attic there is a sofa where you can hang out with friends.
The Wolf's House Garden: hot tub and sauna to watch the stars
The garden of the Wolf's House is your relaxation oasis which, we hope, will delight all your senses. We want you to have a dream experience, so in the garden there are: a hot tub and a sauna with panoramic windows from which you watch the stars and also the sun.
In the garden you have multiple relaxation areas: benches, hammocks, swings, loungers. playgrounds (basketball court, trampoline, soccer field). In the yard you have a rustic brick barbeque at your disposal.
Activities
Gura Râului is a picturesque village in the Mărginimea Sibiului ethnographic area, so you can simply go on hiking to explore the area. You will find breathtaking natural landscapes, forests, lakes, a peaceful rural life with friendly locals.
Tourist attractions in the area:
- Gura Râului Dam, 4 kilometers away;
- Trecătoarea Lupilor ski slope, 4 kilometers away. The facilities offered on the slope are: tubbing track, available both in summer and winter; ski and snowboard school, ski equipment rental; night access until 22:00, parking area, pub and restaurant.
- Air sports: skydiving, recreational flight (be a pilot for a day!), Air tour over Transylvania.
- Ocna Sibiului, a spa resort, is 28 kilometers away. Salt water and therapeutic mud are recommended for rheumatism, respiratory, dermatological or gynecological conditions. Also from here you can start your way onto two of the most spectacular mountain roads in the world, Transalpina and Transfagarasan. They both reach altitudes of over 2000 m.
The staff speaks standard English, German, Italian and Romanian.

Atat de mult ne-a placut, incat am si revenit. Planuim deja si a treia descalecare. Copiii s-au simtit excelent, asa ca de noi ce sa mai zicem. Ne-am “imbolnavit” de liniste. Atmosfera din jurul semineului si trosnetul lemnelor pe foc ne-au convins definitiv: e un loc unde merita sa revii.
