Description

The Tree Cottage is a tiny wooden cabin situated above a remote village in the Apuseni Mountains. The closest inhabited house is a few hundred meters away.

This is the central concept of this place: to offer you all the comfort you need to enjoy nature while never being bothered by anyone else or feeling like just another tourist among others.

To access the place you need to walk 200m through wild beautiful scenery. Rest assured, your host will gladly help you with your luggage if you need to.

The Tree Cottage is fitted with a hot water shower and inside toilet, kitchen corner with a coffee machine, and a double bed facing the window on the entire wall of the cottage, through which you can admire the breathtaking views over the valley and nearby Mount Gaina or gaze at the star-filled sky.

There is also a terrace built under the walnut tree to insure shade in the hot summer days and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Shorter and longer treks on marked paths start from the Tree Cottage itself.

Be advised regarding the colder months, April and October: the room is insulated and heated but the bathroom isn't (you do have hot water for the shower of course). It works just fine for most of the guests but people have their own thermal comfort limits. During these two months you generally have beautiful sunny weather but it can also rain and have 5°C, for example. Please take this into account when booking.

The place where time stands still Urucu Alin

I've been hearing about places where time stands still. Now I had the great occasion to see and "to fill" a place like this. A wooden house, built with care and grace, in the middle of nature, on a hill with mushrooms and autumn crocus, with squirrels jumping through the trees and from morning to evening with the trills of birds.

This is an amazing place to go to if you want to relax in the very heart of the mountains unbothered by anyone. Make sure to get your food with you and warm clothes for the evening.

Awesome place to relax Ionescu Florin

Almost in the middle of nowhere, literally, the cottage is the perfect place for those who seek silence, and relaxation. You will be hearing the sound of rain, birds chirping, the bell of the cows, barking dogs and the rest is just silecnce. Not to mention the stunning view, I could have sat for hours, on the front porch and watch the mist spectacle. If you want to enjoy a book, I suggest you take one with you, there is the perfect hammock for this. Codrin is very nice and ready to help with info reg mountain routes to follow, or anything you ask for. He thought about almost eveything(disposable slippers, hangers, coffee, wine/shots glasses) in the 10 m room, i say almost because a corkscrew would have been nice to have for out bottle of wine(Codrin), but you can manage even without it. It is basically, the perfect combination between nature & modern amenities. Conclusion was: we need so little to be happy.

Codrinșs tree cottage is the perfect get-away. Amazing views, remote but still accessible, great host, all accommodations needed while preserving an up-close and personal connection with nature. Itșs a real window to the typical romanian mountain side way of living. The single place we wish to come back to every year.
