Description
Located in the middle of the forest, at the foot of the Fagaras mountains, the Dealul Verde Guesthouse is completely buried in the ground. Only the facades of the three buildings, strung up on a hill, remain visible. The property consists of three building bodies located at a height difference of 7m from each other.
At the bottom you will find the reception building where a generous lounge of over 100 square meters awaits you. Here the meal is served, you can socialize in front of the fire in the stove, you can read a book from our small library, reclining in an armchair, you can find numerous board games, you can have fun singing karaoke or competing in darts, and here also the amateurs they will find a PS4.
Leaving the reception building and going up the road, you will find the second and third buildings with four accommodation rooms each. Each room has a separate entrance and terrace, private bathroom with shower. The rooms have different themes representing a craft: the Carpenter's or the Blacksmith's Room, the Artist's...
The decorations and furniture are handmade by the two hosts Nicoleta and Sergiu. At Dealul Verde, breakfast and dinner with house wine and brandy, pie and pretzels found on the table during the day are included in the price.
In the immediate vicinity you can visit: the Clay Castle, an architectural jewel already famous in the region. Valea Avrigului where, in addition to a wonderful landscape, you can visit the deer farm, an attraction highly appreciated by visitors.
Other objectives to visit would be: the ruins of the Cistercian Church from Carta, the Brukenthal Palace, the museum and the library in Avrig. For those who appreciate hiking, the Negoiu cabin and Negoiu Peak are an hour and a half's sustained walk away.
Also, you can easily reach Balea Lac (1 hour by car) where the scenery will take your breath away. You can also visit the Balea Waterfall, located 11 km from the guesthouse, and for those interested, the Sambata monastery from above, 40 minutes away by car.
