It found us by chance. It has a story filled with luck, hope and honor. The 120-year-old house is charming and brings warmth to your soul.
We found it on the verge of being demolished and started a project close to our hearts in the Bucovina of our childhood- like a Lego we took apart and then had rebuilt with all the original elements, local craftsmen and rules from a century ago a traditional house from Bucovina.
Inside though... it is our world, created as we dreamed and with a special touch. It is an oasis of happiness, designed with respect for the environment. A refuge for an extended family or two families who want to drink their coffee on the porch, near the forest, in a house that makes you smile.
No compromises... (maybe a small one - bow your head when you enter, as in the old days they did not make the doors so high). It is Hygge Hut.
Good place to take a breath, experience simple happiness, get a joy ride on a horse-drawn cart in the village where there is still “claca” (Voluntary collective work organized by the villagers to help each other, sometimes followed by a small party). It is the perfect place to see what life is like at the bottom of the forest, enjoy simple happiness and rediscover yourself.
The home has two rooms, two bathrooms with everything you need and we have just finished a special fire pit - the best place for storytelling and enjoying nature in general while cooking outdoor.
It has petrified wood, original windows and doors on which you could see the years that have passed and testimony of the old layers of paint applied in the last decades, underfloor heating in the bathrooms with Epoxy raisin on top (you know that feeling when you go barefoot in the bathroom and it's freezing cold? Not here...).
The heat pump takes its energy from a thermal circuit buried in the mud, on the bottom of a nearby pond. It can also come with many stories about how two millennials learned to build from a distance, following the rules of hundreds of years ago, and the tradition of the place.
It is ideal for two close families, a getaway with the grandparents or simply a couples escape in a place that will make you understand why this place truly is magic.
