Description
Nestled in the heart of the majestic Carpathian Mountains, our cabin offers an enchanting retreat that blends natural beauty with modern comfort. With a backdrop of the breathtaking Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountain ranges, this haven is a paradise for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those in search of tranquility.
Space
The single-storeyed cottage is suitable for two families, having two bedrooms set across 100 square meters.
On the ground level, you will find a bedroom with a king size bed and a bunk bed that the children will absolutely love. Set on the same floor, there's a fully equipped, open plan kitchen, where you can find everything from a dishwasher, blender, water kettle, toaster, to mixed spices, tea and coffee, catering for any home cook needs.
The kitchen opens up to a spacious, double-height living room with of a dinning area, 1 couch and one sofa bed, where one can rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery revealed through the lavishing large windows.
The fire place is the heart of the cabin, bringing everyone together at night time for some peaceful moments, enjoying a glass of wine or playing games.
We have a collection of books suitable for adults and children alike, as well as a variety of board games that you can choose from. However, if you cannot unwind and want to really feel at home in our cottage, you can always Netflix and chill or watch a movie on our satellite tv.
On the top floor, you will find a spacious bedroom with a king size bed and two single beds. There is one bathroom on each floor.
The extraordinary scenery can be admired from the wooden terrace that surrounds the house. The mighty peaks of Piatra Craiului Massif or the Bucegi Mountains can be easily spotted, rising high in horizon. Somedays you can even enjoy the presence of sheep herds that graze freely on the neighbouring hills.
In the evenings, you can spend your time at the rustic pavilion, just outside the chalet, where you can prepare your own BBQ or watch the stunning sunset next to the warming campfire.
Activities
Green Cottage is the perfect option for you, whether you just want to relax inside, in front of the fire place or you enjoy hiking. Our cabin is ideally located for practicing mountain sports and leisure activities. The rocky walls in Râşnoavei Gorge are perfect for rock and alpine climbing, from early spring until late autumn.
For the alpine climbing enthusiasts, you can try the famous 'Santinela Cheilor', 'Surplombele de Aur' and 'Peretele Animalelor routes. For rock climbing lovers there are various routes that you can choose from, the most popular being Cheile Râşnoavei, Zona lui Titus, Faleza Metalexpert. If you are a climbing newbie, you can try 'Bolovanul Prostului' to start with.
Very close by you will also find one of the most popular bungee jumping facilities in Romania. Other leisure activities that you can choose from include via ferrata, horseback riding and zip line. If you enjoy taking long walks in the forest or hiking in the mountains, then this is the place to come to. From our cabin you can go hiking on marked hiking trails on Postavaru Massif or to Râşnoavei Cave, Poiana Trei Brazi, Poiana Secuilor, etc.
For mountain bike enthusiasts, we have 4 mountain bikes available for you the explore the area. If you prefer to ride in your car, our cabin is very close to some popular tourists sites such as Bran ( Bran Castle), Poiana Brasov and Brasov (Brasov Citadel, Black Church). Rasnov Fortress, one of the most well maintained medieval fortress in Transylvania is only 10 kilometres away.
For fun activities with kids, then you must visit Dino Parc Rasnov the biggest dinosaurs park in South East Europe, an amazing experience for kids and dinosaurs lovers alike. During winter you can go skiing in Poiana Brasov and Predeal, located 20 kilometres away from the cottage. You can rent all the equipment there for the day.
