Description

Instead of crowded beaches we propose a tranquil spot to relax and recharge your batteries.

The prices shown are seasonal (currently 88, 103 and 114 € per night) and refer to bookings of at least 5 nights and up to 6 people. This minimum stay applies to all our cottages, but exceptions of 2 nights are possible at the highest seasonal rate.
For an extra bed and a 7th person we charge an additional 12 €/night, and for your pet 8 €/night. Children up to 5 years stay for free.
On request, our cook will serve you breakfast and traditional menus freshly prepared at the desired time directly to your table. You can also order local products such as milk, sheep's and cow's cheese, honey, homemade zacusca and jam, pickles, wine and schnapps and much more.

Casa Pelu

is a former farmhouse in the surroundings of Sibiu. In our hands, it has once again regained its spirit of yesteryear. We added an attic, which fits into the original style. Using ancient techniques and methods, we turned it into an ideal house for a rural holiday.

The holiday house can accommodate up to 6 people and it consists of three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bath/shower and a roof terrace. The interior harmoniously combines the Romanian traditional style with the modern comfort.
Each room reveals a comfortable double bed, with fine bedding, a wardrobe with mirror, a corner dining table or a table with chairs.
You have 2 LED TVs and benefit from free Wi-Fi internet access.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for self catering: gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, espresso and coffee machine, french press coffee maker, teapot, of course plenty of dishes and cutlery, 25 diferent spices, and more.
In the bathroom you will find a shower and a tub, a washing machine, and of course towels, soap and shower gel and toilet paper.

The cottage is heated by a terracotta stove, completely rebuilt. This stove not only produces radiant heat, but at the same time supplies all the radiators in the house with hot water. If the fire goes out or if you prefer a more convenient heating method, a gas boiler controlled by a room thermostat starts automatically.

On the beautifully arranged terrace, accessible from the attic, you can uncork a bottle of wine while the leisurely village life passes by ...

We run 6 holiday homes known as ‘Casa Vale din deal’.

Here you will find traditional houses and villas scattered in the pastoral village of Vale, right at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. A perfect place to escape from offices and urban exaggerations. And an excellent choice for lovers of untouched nature, who prefer to wander through intact forests and taste a pinch of rural serenity, instead of splashing around in the chlorinated pool of a 5-star hotel.

We are located in the special area of the Marginimea Sibiului, called the 'home of shepherds'. Due to the special mixture of Daco-Roman architecture and traditions, Saxon fortified churches, traditional crafts and unique local gastronomy, the region has been declared a 'European Destination of Excellence'. On the one hand in the middle of nowhere, on the other hand only traditional houses and villas scattered in the pastoral village of Vale, the 'European Capital of Culture' in the heart of Romania.

The village nestles on a mountain slope overlooking the vast Transylvanian plain. It is touched by a tarmac road but there are mostly cobblestoned streets and dirt trails leading up into the hills. There you walk through the oldest beech forest of the continent to reach the mountain meadows with its unique flora and fauna, where your neighbors will be sheep and horses grazing freely.

We offer two spacious villas for special demands, three cottages renovated in a traditional style, and a small but comfortable apartment. All homes are self catering accommodations and spread in the village. They have been built from scratch or refurbished from old farmhouses by our own villager-based construction company within nine years of intense work.
We combined local building styles and craftsmanship with contemporary materials, proceeding always with attention to detail and respect towards the traditions of the area. It was a pleasure to watch the cottages grow and their souls revive, while preserving the simplicity of bygone times.
The result is an encounter of different ages and cultures in five oases of well-being, each of them having their distinctive and special ambiance in a place which - as we hope - will remain for a long time spared from the hustle of civilizational imbalances.

Each home has a fully equipped kitchen for self catering, high-speed Wi-Fi, a washing machine and at least a terrace. The two villas also offer a living room with fireplace and a garden with barbecue and parking. Exceptional cleanliness awaits you everywhere.
