Nested in the Medieval Citadel of Sighisoara, Casa Georgius Krauss is a UNESCO historic building from the XVI-th century, offering uniquely designed rooms and a restaurant with 2 terraces. Free WiFi is available in the public areas.
This boutique-hotel was the house of chronicler and historian Georg Krauss and consists of individually designed rooms with design decorations, including original frescoes, medieval-style or solid wood furniture, hand carved decorations and stylish bathrooms. Each room is equipped with modern facilities, including a mini-bar, a flat-screen cable TV, a hairdryer and free toiletries. Some also have air-conditioning, and others come with a fireplace.
The house maintains much of its historic structure, including warm decors with wooden elements, and a wooden staircase reaching the upper floors. A breakfast room and a bar with a smoking area are also available on site.
Guests at Casa Georgius Krauss can enjoy Romanian or international dishes and relax on the covered or outdoor terraces. The dishes are prepared with local ingredients, after traditional or innovative recipes. You can pair your meals with carefully selected Romanian wines.
The property is a 2-minute walk from the central square, and several shops, as well as historical landmarks, such as the Church from the Hill and the Clock Tower, can be reached within walking distance. Bicycles can be rented on site and a bus stop is 1312 feet away. Guests coming by car can use a paid public parking outside the traffic-free citadel, and a valet will help with the procedures and luggage.
