Description
Instead of crowded beaches we propose a tranquil spot to relax and recharge your batteries.
The prices shown are seasonal (currently 141, 169 and 188 € per night) and refer to bookings of at least 5 nights and up to 8 people. This minimum stay applies to all our cottages, but exceptions of 2 nights are possible at the highest seasonal rate.
For an extra bed and a 9th or a 10th person we charge an additional 12 €/night, and for your pet 8 €/night. Children up to 5 years stay for free.
On request, our cook will serve you breakfast and traditional menus freshly prepared at the desired time directly to your table. You can also order local products such as milk, sheep's and cow's cheese, honey, homemade zacusca and jam, pickles, wine and schnapps and much more.

Villa Crina
is the rustic jewel among our cottage rentals. We built it fromschratch on the foundations of an abandoned farm barn. Now, the holiday home offers spacious, light-flooded rooms, 200 sqm of living space, and quality equipment for high demands. A good choice for lovers of details..
You enter the villa through the garden and the terrace. The 50 sqm living room features oak parquet and includes the kitchen, a wood burning fireplace, and seating for 18 people. From here, a sanitary room with a washing machine, dryer and a toilet is accessible.
The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a delight. It contains a large fridge combo, dishwasher, gas stove, coffee maker, espresso machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, spices, and more. If you want to take a break, we will cook traditional menus or provide you with farm products from the village.
There is an outside and an inside staircase leading up to the four bright rooms (15-18 sqm) in the attic. They are furnished with a double bed, private bathroom, TV (Astra Satellite), WiFi internet, and plnats. The view is relaxing: it goes up to the village church and out over the lush green forested mountains.
On arrival you will find the beds freshly made. Hand and bath towels, shower gel and soap are available too.
The complete interior of the villa was chosen with care and is fairly new, including kitchen and sanitation facilities, mattresses, and linen. All furniture, windows, doors and stairs where made to measure.
The solar-assisted central heating is backed up threefold. Either you fire up the water-bearing fireplace in the living room, which supplies all the radiators in the house, or an automatic control takes over the job and starts a gas heater or the infrared panels.
The living room opens onto a spacious south-facing terrace (30 sqm) with 14 seats. Stairs lead down from here to the enclosed garden bordered by a creek.
We laid out the garden in three terraces: on the top level, there is a stonewalled barbecue on which you can fry your steak on charcoal, the middle level has a small lawn with rustic seating, and the bottom level accommodates up to two cars. The garden area is grown with flowers, various fruit trees and wine.
The accommodation lies in the sparsely built part of the village, facing towards the wooded Carpathians.
After a few steps you pass the village church and already find yourself in the oldest beech forest of the continent. Hiking towards the mountain pastures you will experience a unique flora and fauna and an unforgettable view of the valley.
Alternatively, benefit from of our central location in the heart of Romania for tours to the medieval fortresses of Sibiu, the Dracula castle, and other sights in Transylvania. Back home, you can uncork a bottle of wine on the terrace and let the day pass by.
We run 6 holiday homes known as ‘Casa Vale din deal’.
Here you will find traditional houses and villas scattered in the pastoral village of Vale, right at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. A perfect place to escape from offices and urban exaggerations. And an excellent choice for lovers of untouched nature, who prefer to wander through intact forests and taste a pinch of rural serenity, instead of splashing around in the chlorinated pool of a 5-star hotel.
We are located in the special area of the Marginimea Sibiului, called the 'home of shepherds'. Due to the special mixture of Daco-Roman architecture and traditions, Saxon fortified churches, traditional crafts and unique local gastronomy, the region has been declared a 'European Destination of Excellence'. On the one hand in the middle of nowhere, on the other hand only traditional houses and villas scattered in the pastoral village of Vale, the 'European Capital of Culture' in the heart of Romania.
The village nestles on a mountain slope overlooking the vast Transylvanian plain. It is touched by a tarmac road but there are mostly cobblestoned streets and dirt trails leading up into the hills. There you walk through the oldest beech forest of the continent to reach the mountain meadows with its unique flora and fauna, where your neighbors will be sheep and horses grazing freely.
We offer two spacious villas for special demands, three cottages renovated in a traditional style, and a small but comfortable apartment. All homes are self catering accommodations and spread in the village. They have been built from scratch or refurbished from old farmhouses by our own villager-based construction company within nine years of intense work.
We combined local building styles and craftsmanship with contemporary materials, proceeding always with attention to detail and respect towards the traditions of the area. It was a pleasure to watch the cottages grow and their souls revive, while preserving the simplicity of bygone times.
The result is an encounter of different ages and cultures in five oases of well-being, each of them having their distinctive and special ambiance in a place which - as we hope - will remain for a long time spared from the hustle of civilizational imbalances.
Each home has a fully equipped kitchen for self catering, high-speed Wi-Fi, a washing machine and at least a terrace. The two villas also offer a living room with fireplace and a garden with barbecue and parking. Exceptional cleanliness awaits you everywhere.
